Since I was a young boy, I learned to leave my environment cleaner than I found it. As a Boy Scout, I learned about Conservationism. I have a love for the outdoors, and I am passionate about leaving a cleaner more sustainable environment for the next generation.
That’s why on the Council, I led the effort to oppose drilling in our off-shore Coastal waters. I actively led the effort to build a Climate Action Plan for Vista for the next generation, and I am deeply involved in the Community Choice Energy program development that will pave the way toward a future with renewable, clean energy at lower prices for rate-payers.
As a member of the Encina Waste Water Authority Board of Directors (Vista’s shared Wastewater treatment plant) I authorized a move to 75% renewable energy and am working to improve access to clean water while reducing environmental impacts.
