In my 8 years on the Vista Council, I have consistently fought to increase the number of Sheriff’s Deputies serving Vista. When I was elected, Vista hadn’t hired a new deputy for more than 10 years, despite a growing population. Under my leadership, 3 new deputies have been hired. It’s just a start, but as Mayor, I will continue to work to make sure we have sufficient numbers of sworn deputies to keep Vista Safe.
